Harrison Chinedu has entered the Guinness Book of World Records after he became the first man to travel the farthest distance while balancing a football
on his head.

The Cambodia-based footballer set the record after walking from the Redemption camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, which is a total distance of 48.08km, on March 6.

The previous record was held by an Indian soldier, Naib Singh who walked a total distance of 45.64km with a ball on his head in his country in 2014.

Guinness World Records confirmed Chinedu as a world record holder in a certificate sent to the Dr Rafiu Oladipo Sports Foundation, which presented Chinedu with an opportunity to make a name for himself and Nigeria.

An elated Chinedu, who displayed his certificate in Lagos on Thursday, said his sights are set on breaking more world records and this is just a start.

The President-General of the Nigeria Football Supporters’ Club Mr.Rafiu Ladipo hailed the Imo State-born star for putting the country on the world map.

He commended the sports minister Solomon Dalung, Lagos, Ogun and Imo states, as well as the police, the FRSC, bet9ja and the media for supporting the event.
